Hidden near the Macal River is Cahal Pech, which served as a residence of high-ranking Maya families in ancient times. The site consists of 34 buildings and the highest temple soars up to 25 meters. Since the remains of Cahal Pech are located a very short distance from San Ignacio, which is the center of the historically richest Cayo District, visitors should certainly set aside some time in their schedule for a detailed exploration of this place. The team of Ghost Hunters International travelled there once to help a man who thought he was being tormented by spirits haunting the Cahal Pech.
