The site located in Gallon Jug in Orange Walk District (in the Maya language Kaxil Uinich), is not normally accessible to the public. The owners of the luxury accommodation, Chan Chich Lodge , which is situated directly on the site, are responsible for taking care of it. However, the first people who discovered Chan Chich were unfortunately grave robbers, so it is not clear what was originally stored there. In an adjacent area, there is also a small airport, which is incredibly useful in terms of transportation to this remote place, since it is located in the heart of a tropical forest.
