The Ka’Kabish remains are not easily found on the maps. They are located about 10 kilometers from the site of Lamanai. Ka’Kabish was insensitively divided in half by building of the road leading from the village of Indian Church to San Felipe. At least one building was entirely destroyed due to building of this road. Site is also threatened by the continued expansion of farmland in its vicinity.
According to archaeologists, a thorough study of this place can be more important than previously expected. From a tourist perspective, however, this place is yet not very interesting. This could change in a next few years.
